Snake - Cornsnake
thingiverse
I'm new to 3D printing, but I'm familiar with normal 3D modeling, so I'm not sure if there's anything special that needs to be done when finishing a model for printing. In my mind, this should print fine. This was sculpted using a corn snake as reference - The model here is complete as it stands, but I plan on breaking it down into an articulated puzzle piece. Since I haven't printed a copy yet, I'll wait until the final puzzle version is ready. The snakes head and tail are slightly elevated, so you'll need to add supports, but the majority of the surface is flat. The model has a relatively high polygon count, which was necessary to get the scale details right. If you print this, please share your results - I'd love to see how it turns out.
