3D Snail Model Ready for Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality Applications A low-poly 3D snail model is now available for use in VR, AR, games, and other real-time applications. This 3ds max 2012 model comes with high-resolution textures, including diffuse, normal, specular, and self-illumination maps at an impressive 8k resolution. The term "snail" typically refers to terrestrial pulmonate gastropod molluscs that live on land. However, the common name is also applied to a broader group of mollusks within the Gastropoda class that have a large coiled shell, allowing them to fully retract into it. In its most general sense, "snail" encompasses not only land snails but also thousands of species of sea snails and freshwater snails. Some non-gastropod molluscs, like Monoplacophora, which resemble small limpets in appearance, may occasionally be informally referred to as "snails," despite not belonging to the Gastropoda class.
