Snag Ears
thingiverse
A friend of mine requested I create Snag Ears for him, so I printed out the ones from MIXTERek. He liked them but wanted posts on instead of making his own. To meet his request, I added two posts to the original file with Autodesk inventor and then resized back to the original size. For some reason, Inventor imported the file 60% larger than expected. Next, I added a second file with 90mm posts for taller bite alarms. My printer settings were as follows: Ultimaker 2 Extended was my printer brand and model; no rafts or supports were used; a resolution of 0.15 was selected; and 90% infill was chosen. After printing, I had to clean up some stringing issues. My UM2 clone needs fine-tuning but the print turned out nice overall.
