Smoothieboard Case

Smoothieboard Case

thingiverse

This was designed for my beta version Smoothieboard. I've uploaded a stretched version to suit the X4 and X5 production models, but unfortunately, I don't have one of those boards, so consider that model to be untested. If someone could print one and try it out for me, that would be fantastic! Note that it was intended to work with vertical connectors, not plugable terminal blocks like the ones seen on some boards. I've allowed a bit more clearance for the X4 and X5 versions, but I couldn't confirm if there's room for plugable terminal blocks until someone tries it out. The slots in the lid should be positioned over the drivers; the rising hot air is what will draw fresh air into the back. Instructions I printed it with two shells and 50% infill. It weighs about 85g, I think, with both the lid and box included. Carefully drill out the holes using a 2.5mm drill, then tap them M3. Be gentle when tightening the screws - it's just plastic!
