"Smooth Mount" - Guitar/Ukulele Wall Mount
cults3d
The STL file is specifically designed for a Ukulele, but scaling up to around 150% in your slicer or printer should give you a great fit for a guitar. For an even more polished look, consider printing the taller version of this design, allowing your Ukulele to sit perfectly with its strings facing outwards. This wall mount is incredibly solid and gets the job done very effectively. I've printed multiple units, and they work flawlessly. If you're looking to use it for a guitar, don't be afraid to experiment with different sizes - 150% scaling worked well for me, but feel free to find your perfect fit. One thing to keep in mind when printing items that need to hold weight is that most designs aren't optimized for 3D printing. As a result, they might not be as strong as their plastic or metal counterparts. This design aims to rectify this issue by incorporating a more robust shape, ensuring it can withstand the weight without breaking. For optimal results, consider using an outer layer thickness of at least 2mm with a minimum infill of 25%. As for material, PETG or Nylon are excellent choices - they're strong and durable. ABS will also work well if you're aware of its warping tendencies. However, PLA might not be the best option due to its lower strength; it's only suitable at 100% infill.
