"Smooth Mount" - Guitar/Ukulele Wall Mount
thingiverse
The STL file is designed for a Ukulele, but scaling up to around 150% will give you a perfect fit for a guitar in your slicer or printer. For an even more professional look, consider printing the taller version, allowing your Ukulele to sit securely with its strings facing outward. This simple yet elegant wall mount is incredibly effective at holding instruments safely and securely. I've printed several of these models, and they all work flawlessly! If you're planning to use it for a guitar, however, be prepared to experiment with different sizes - 150% scaling worked well for me, but feel free to adjust as needed to find the perfect fit for your instrument. One common issue when printing objects that need to carry weight is that they often lack the strength of their traditionally manufactured counterparts. This design addresses this problem by incorporating a sturdier shape, so you can rely on it to hold up without breaking easily. To achieve optimal results, consider using an outer layer thickness of 2mm and at least 25% infill. For added durability and stability, PETG or Nylon are excellent choices. ABS will also work well if you're able to manage the warping factor effectively. PLA might not be the best option for this design, but it could potentially work if you opt for 100% infill - just keep in mind that it may not hold up as well under weight and stress.
