I installed a filament guide from Jonasen as one of my initial prints and it functions perfectly.\r\nHowever, my installation was producing an ear-piercing squeak with every retraction step.\r\n\r\nTo alleviate this issue, I added an upper guide for the filament spool and discovered that the entire setup generated excessive friction (and noise).\r\n\r\nI employed a virtually identical base to Jonasen's design to clip the guide on the metal frame (which I deem ingenious).\r\nI designed a rugged holder for a printable guide wheel, allowing the filament spools to glide directly and smoothly into the extruder.\r\nThis modification eliminated additional drag in the system, ensuring a seamless printing experience.\r\n\r\nNo supports were required. The print should turn out excellent at 0.2 mm.\r\n\r\nHave fun printing!\r\n\r\nUpdate:\r\n\r\nVersion 2 boasts a redesigned holder and guide wheel to enhance print quality for small layer heights, while maintaining the same functionality.\r\nIf you still encounter noises, apply a tiny drop of oil to the wheel axis.
