Smooth Ear Saver

Smooth Ear Saver

I was printing bands for a friend who distributed them to coworkers. He mentioned that the edges were sharp enough to dig into skin, so I decided to remix the design. This new version rounds all top edges and reduces corners to make it more comfortable to wear. The thicker section in the middle of the band is also removed, resulting in an entire band with consistent thickness. When worn with the top layer against the head, this revised band feels even more comfortable than traditional square versions, assuming your printer settings produce a smooth finish. The design remains flexible despite being printed with PLA and is incredibly lightweight at just 0.8mm thick. Additionally, it uses minimal material due to the numerous holes from the original design. Just like the original, I've included the Fusion 360 file for easy modification. I printed this revised band using a layer thickness of 0.2mm with two perimeters and solid infill on all four layers.
