This white clay pipe bowl piece was salvaged from the sunken ship Betsy, situated in the York River off the coast of Yorktown, Virginia. It displays the Royal Coat of Arms featuring a fierce English lion and a proud Scottish unicorn. The vessel was part of a fleet scuttled by the British in 1781. This artifact was scanned with a Go!Scan 50 at the Virginia Department of Historic Resources' curation facility in Richmond, Virginia.
