Smoking bowl

I'm in the process of creating a makeshift smoking device. To make a simple bowl, cut a section from an aluminum can and bend it over a regular bowl. Next, melt the metal until it forms a secure seal around the bowl. I haven't tried this method myself, but I wanted to see if it's feasible.
