Smoker the White Hunter is a Marine officer stationed at G-5 base. He made his initial appearance as captain in Loguetown, where capturing Luffy became his top priority, and later earned a promotion to commodore due to events unfolding in Alabasta. Following the timeskip, he rose through the ranks again, this time achieving the rank of vice admiral.
