Smoker the White Hunter serves as a commanding officer at the G-5 base in the Marine Corps. Initially, he was introduced as a captain (大佐 Taisa) in Loguetown, where he dedicated himself to capturing Luffy, and later achieved the rank of commodore (准将 Junshō) due to his involvement in Alabasta's events. During the timeskip period, he earned promotion to vice admiral (中将 Chūjō).
