Smoke Stopper Box for Bay15D Socket
thingiverse
I wanted to make a smoke stopper using the directions from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fsN-tn89hrA&t=142s, but I needed a way to mount the components in a nice case, so I designed one. After printing it out, I realized that the wires would likely break where they emerged from the box, so I created a strain relief for them, which I printed out of TPU. This was my first time designing a strain relief, and it's not perfect, but it works just fine. Here's the socket I used: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LGKE4XM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. The switch is a Dorman 20 amp duckbill from an auto parts store, and you can find it with the packaging number 85962. Any switch will do as long as it fits. There's a slot for a 3mm nut to slide into for the clamp where the wires exit. I designed this project in Fusion 360.
