Smoke exhaust for laser on Stepcraft
thingiverse
Smoke exhaust is very important when using a laser, it keeps the lens clean and removes the smell of burning material. Some dust collectors will do the job as well, only the laser sticks 20 cm out of the toolholder plate so check if that is a problem. If it is than here is the solution a redesigned smoke/dust exhaust for laser as well mill spindle. This is a small redesign of my "Dust collector for Kress" What's different is that there is a wider ring for the airflow so the laser benefits from the cool air that's sucked up. The first file is the mounting ring of the exhaust which hold the hose and will attached by a M4 screw and washer. Second file is a cone that clicks on the ring with an Air blast option on it, to blow out flames on the workpiece. When printing the mount use enforced support only on hook When printing the cone use brim. hardware used; 10 3 x 2mm magnet (only if cone or brush is used) 1 M4 x 12mm screw
