I designed a custom mount for the First Alert smoke detector BRK 3120B, which may also work with other models. To secure it, I used T-nuts and attached them to the top rail of my Ender 3's extrusion system. This setup is being used in conjunction with a specific design found on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2148191.
