Smith & Wesson M&P40 Springer Piston

The airsoft pistol's piston has been a major headache for many users, unable to withstand the force exerted upon it. This weakness leads to frequent breakdowns, prompting some owners to discard their guns or purchase new ones. To mitigate this issue, I've designed an improved piston that allows hobbyists to repair their pistols when they malfunction, rather than replacing them entirely. My design incorporates a triangular support on the small square nub where force is applied, effectively resolving the problem. So far, I've fired over 200 plastic BBs through the gun with this modification and am pleased to report that it has performed flawlessly without any signs of weakness or rapid deterioration. Update 7/7/2018 After firing approximately 1000 shots through the pistol equipped with my new piston, some seizing problems have arisen. The slide becomes stuck in place, requiring force to push it forward, resulting in a shot being fired without triggering the trigger. Additionally, if you cock the gun all the way back and allow the slide to spring forward, it will also fire without the trigger being pulled. I'm unsure whether this is an inherent issue with the pistol or a result of my upgrade. Please print and test this design, providing feedback so I can update my file accordingly. I'll continue experimenting and provide updates when I've made adjustments or improvements.
