Human: Custom Load Assist Button Design for Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 Magazine This load assist button is specifically designed for the 10 round pinned magazines from Smith & Wesson that cannot be disassembled to install a follower load assist button. The design works on any 15-22 magazine, but it's not intended to be removed through the existing hole at the bottom of regular non-pinned magazines. Available on eBay, this model is now offered as a 3D printable file for individuals to create their own version. To install, slide the button with axle through the existing hole in the magazine follower. Position the magazine with open axle pointing up on a flat surface. Begin by starting the button with hole on the axle finger tight using your hands. Use a socket to tap the two pieces together, leaving some space between the mag and slider. Do not over tighten. Recommended: Apply heat from a gun or lighter to the exposed axle for secure installation. As an alternative, apply a small drop of super glue for reinforcement. If not indenting the end, trim the shaft down to fit the receiver.
