While www.thingiverse.com/thing:63275 offers an excellent solution for working with reels of SMD parts, many users are turning to short tape segments from online vendors instead. Picking parts from a strip of 10 or 25 pieces can be challenging, especially when the clear tape rolls over and spills components everywhere! This tool prints quickly on small printers, holds various sizes of carrier tape (6,8,10 & 12 mm), and is designed to support both plastic and paper carriers. A built-in catch tray is molded into the design, allowing you to simply insert a strip of tape, peel back the clear tape for 1 to 5 cells, then tap the tape and drop the parts into the catch tray.
