Original designs: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:394354 and https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:63275. Two major issues stood out from my perspective. The tape holder was designed for 8 slots, but the spacing was too narrow to accommodate the 8mm reels. Second, the height at which components were supposed to be picked up was 110mm above the desk surface. Since I use a vacuum nozzle made from an aquarium pump, this was not convenient for me. In my design, there is space for 7 x 8mm reels. The 1mm slot helps to pull tape through the dispenser. I was able to test it with spools that have about 1k components on them. However, I'm unsure how it will work with brand new spools. One area that may be further improved is the connection between the front and back base, which is not rigid enough, especially in a top-down direction. I recommend printing the tape-tray vertically on the front side. There is no need for supports, but 5mm brim is recommended. For one set, you will need: 1 piece - M4 x 125mm for axel (or 6-32 threaded rod with wing nuts imperial) 2 pieces - M4 wing nuts 1 piece - SMD-Dispensor-back1.stl 2 pieces - SMD-Dispensor-AxelBushing.stl 7 pieces - SMD-Dispensor-ReelBushing.stl 1 piece - Base - Front.stl 1 piece - Tape - Tray.stl
