Spinning the original design of http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:43406, I've created a customized version using Customizer! (http://www.thingiverse.com/apps/customizer/run?thing_id=43406). This compact part storage is designed to hold SMD components and can be easily retrieved with one finger or tweezers. If you're concerned about ESD, make it from conductive filament. I reduced the radius from 5mm to 3mm for easier printing. The thickness feels just right - sturdy yet not wasteful of filament. Remember to support Thingiverse designers!
