This device secures your SMD component while you solder, making it easier to work with delicate parts like LEDs without causing damage. Instead of using a metal needle or pin as the contact point, this design uses a toothpick for added protection. Inspired by the SMD Beak from Enginethrust, I wanted to create something simpler that gets the job done just as well. If you need more weight for stability, simply glue some pennies onto the top of the head for added balance.
