SMD Component Storage Rings
thingiverse
Small surface mount devices used in today's miniature electronics need more storage space than their predecessors due to two reasons: they come packaged in tape/reel carrier strips, and their markings are often undecipherable. This means that you must keep them in their original labeled shipping bags or label them yourself with a Sharpie. Despite folding the paper tapes, it is difficult to fit them into small parts drawers. However, the "napkin ring" dinguses of this Thing, available in three sizes, can help manage overstuffed drawers. To use them, cut the zip closure and any excess parts from the part's polybag while keeping the label intact. Roll up the bag and slide an appropriate ring over it. These were printed at 0.25mm layer height to save time.
