SMD Compnent Magazines Modified
thingiverse
I modified Robin7331's excellent tape magazines to suit my needs more effectively. I extended the front of the cartridge outward, creating a "launch stage," which features a slot designed to keep the tape from shifting around. Additionally, I added a small lip within the cavity to prevent the roll of tape from falling out, and reduced its size to 12mm for standard paper tapes used on resistors and capacitors. I created another one slightly deeper to accommodate plastic tapes. Furthermore, I crafted a larger version, measuring 28mm in diameter, specifically for an SMD crystal that I frequently use. To complement these modifications, I also developed an extra-long rail (180mm) with a cap at the end to cover the opening on the first cartridge. Through experimentation with extrusion width and other settings, I was able to achieve successful prints with a 20% fill ratio.
