Smartthings Multipurpose Sensor Spacers (original, 5mm, 1cm, 1cm stackable)
thingiverse
Hi, I'm new at 3D printing so I wanted to design something useful and it turns out that if you're a Smartthings multipurpose sensor user, you very commonly face a problem with the sensor being fixed on a window or door frame without properly facing the magnet part. I reverse-engineered the original support (smartthings_MP.stl), then extruded the base by 5mm (smartthings_MP_5mm.stl), and finally extruded it again by 5mm to reach 1cm (smartthings_MP_1cm.stl). [Update 2/28/2017: I've added a stackable 1cm version that can be added on top of the original, 5mm, and 1cm to increase even further and become modulable. Print Settings Printer: Alunar M508 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.4mm Infill: 20% Notes: I printed it at 210Deg with 70Deg hotbed, speed 50mm/s, and flow 100%. Post-Printing The printed result of the three sizes. How I Designed This I used Blender to map the vertices on a scan of the part. I just scanned the bottom of the support with my standard all-in printer. Stackable version with the bottom openings to plug it onto others.
