I'm excited to share my DIY laser mount for my smarttrapcore and a budget-friendly Chinese laser from Aliexpress. Check out this amazing 500mw 405nm focusing blue-purple laser module with TTL module - it's perfect for laser engraving! I'm using the same holes as the jhead adaptor, making it easy to install. Watch my video in action: https://youtu.be/Yhf-L6cL2hU. As you can see, the laser is positioned behind the extruder, so there's no need to remove it when printing. To power the laser on and off, I'm using the FAN port on my Ramps board with a simple M106 command. It's a breeze! I designed the GCODE using Inkscape and J Tech plugin - it's a game-changer!
