UPDATE 3/31/2017 Added new Carriage that I redesigned and a new mount that fits it perfectly. =================================================================== UPDATE 1/3/2017 The SmartrapCore has undergone numerous revisions since Smartfriendz first released it, resulting in multiple versions of the design. This particular design only works with the original carriage featuring 8 mm rods, but since newer versions have different carriages, I've uploaded STEP files for the mount and clamp if you want to edit the design or download a compatible carriage from here. I initially discovered this design at https://www.youmagine.com/designs/smartcore by clicking on the gear icon in V1.2, then editing it in OpenJSCAD, which allows users to adjust parameters and set rod sizes to 8 mm. =================================================================== This E3D extruder mount is designed to fit the SmartrapCore, offering a sturdier and simpler installation process on the 8mm rod x-carriage. The design also provides ample space for Tom114's E3D integrated layer fan: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1746358, which utilizes a 50mm radial/blower fan in conjunction with the original Prusa i3 mk2 fan nozzle. With this Smartfriendz extruder mount, I utilized all four mounting holes and incorporated seated nuts for added stability, unlike the previous setup that only used the bottom two mounting holes of the carriage with the top two slots of extruder mount, which was necessary to position the nozzle low enough due to the E3D v6's limited length.
