My SmartCore device from SmartFriendz is really cool, but the tangled cables inside the box can be quite frustrating. Since installing the Bowden extruder and running the filament from the roll just outside the box, a significant amount of friction between the filament and the box border developed. To resolve this issue, I created a small, straightforward part that tackles both problems simultaneously. The new piece keeps cables organized on the right side within the box and acts as a guide for the filament, maintaining it at an optimal angle while preventing friction with the wooden enclosure's edges. The curved hole designed to channel the filament allows smooth movement. This feature includes adjustable inner diameter and opening size to prevent jams or snagging of the filament. To insert cables, simply bend the piece gently, and consider adding screws for added stability, although my prototype held firmly without them on its own wooden base. A playful bunny now decorates the front; I incorporate these endearing creatures into all designs just for fun.
