Smartrap Mini - Improvements in the X and Y axis
thingiverse
This project builds upon the Smartrap Mini from Smartfriendz (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:177256), aiming to enhance the smoothness and precision of X and Y-axis movement without altering the printer's original design components. It does so by adding specific holes for screws that hold bearings acting as tensors, all while utilizing a toothed pulley that pulls a GT2 belt held by flanges at both ends. Additionally, well-fitting endstop housings (http://piol.in/1fYvqM5) are added to maintain the original design's aesthetics. The self-calibration system of the Z-axis is also changed for a simpler regulation based on a screw. Lastly, two anchors are included to secure the printer onto its wooden base. In Spanish, the project is described as an improvement upon the Smartrap Mini from Smartfriendz (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:177256), introducing adjustments for smoother and more precise movement on X and Y axes without modifying the original design's parts. It achieves this by creating specific holes for screws that hold bearings acting as tensor rods, relying on a toothed pulley to pull a GT2 belt held by flanges at both ends. The printer's aesthetics are maintained with well-fitting endstop housings (http://piol.in/1fYvqM5), and the Z-axis self-calibration system is replaced for a simpler screw-based regulation. Finally, two anchors are added to secure the printer onto its wooden base.
