Smartrap Huxley Hot-end Fan Duct

Smartrap Huxley Hot-end Fan Duct

thingiverse

Version 1 of this fan duct fits easily onto the Smartrap printer's Huxley Hot-end, redirecting air from the fan to cool the nozzle and build platform during printing. Ensure your hot end heater cartridge is at the back for a proper fit; if it's in front, it could interfere with the duct. For quieter prints, set infill to rectangular at 0 degrees in your slicer when printing side walls. Version 2, inspired by "natko," improves cooling efficiency with 'Air Horns' that direct air flow around the printed part. This design also allows for better visibility of the print process. I recommend 0.3mm layer height and 2 perimeters with 40% infill. Version 3 adjustments include raising the Air Horns by 1.5mm to avoid interference with the printed part and potentially new SmartRap Glass Holders. Version 4 is identical to Version 3 but without a 'SmartRap logo,' making it compatible with other Huxley Hot End-equipped printers.
