Smartphone tripod mount

This mount enables the Samsung Galaxy S6 in a Tech21 protector sleeve to securely attach to a standard tripod. To complete this setup, you'll need to screw in a 1/4"-20 thread to the bottom. A 1/4" drill was used to thoroughly clean out the hole for the pivot mount. Sandpaper was utilized to ensure everything fits together seamlessly. The two parts were printed separately. The clip was printed on its backside, so the largest part is in contact with the bed and the base was printed in its normal orientation with the base facing down and the fingers of the hinge pointing upwards. Bill Of Materials: 1- 1/4"-20 plastic knob (Lowes 139701) 1- 1/4"x 1.5" Carriage Bolt (Lowes 63333) 1- 1/4" flat washer Future Improvement: I'd love to be able to embed a 1/4" nut in the base to avoid tapping the hole and create a stronger mount, but I was unable to pause and restart my printer to insert the nut. If someone can point me to how to accomplish this, I will update this part. Thanks for watching. This design was created with Tinkercad.
