Since the COVID-19 pandemic forced many of us into working from home whenever possible, demand for webcams has skyrocketed for online meetings. Moreover, business culture shifts have encouraged people to turn on their cameras as much as possible. I've found myself stuck between two subpar options. My laptop comes equipped with a webcam, but since I'm accustomed to using multiple monitors, I often end up positioned too far from the camera. The built-in webcam wasn't a major factor in my laptop selection process. As I pondered whether a mobile cam wouldn't be sufficient, it turned out that this particular model is actually superior to any webcam I could purchase affordably. Following Linus Tech Tips' YouTube channel, I discovered an article that helped me find the perfect mount for securing my phone to my screen. Here it is, securely holding my Galaxy S10 in place. However, there are a few limitations since I specifically designed this model to accommodate Samsung Galaxy S10 and Asus PB287Q Monitor screens. While I assume the design will be versatile enough for other monitors, it may not be suitable for most models. Please verify compatibility before printing. The core features of this design include: • Attach the holder directly to your screen • Accommodate any phone up to 80mm in height • Adjust the viewing angle using a screw from the back • Aesthetically pleasing design • Optimized for easy printing To print this design, follow these steps: If you're looking at it from the front, simply rotate it by 90° to the left and ensure there are supports within the frame. I printed it without support on a Prusa MK3S using 15% infill and PLA material.
