The magnetic bike holder is a genius invention that lets you carry your smartphone on the handlebars of your bike! Video: https://youtu.be/pZTb6gFqBtA After installing the holder on your bike and inserting the magnets into the upper case, simply place a metal plate (a tin can lid works great) under the phone support and put your phone right on it. If your bike's handlebars aren't perfectly straight, you can use the curved adapter (part 3) to adjust its position. This lets you choose from four different inclinations, giving your phone a slope of up to 35%. The curved design also corrects any misalignment with your handlebar. The holder itself is a masterpiece of 3D printing, recovery, and recycling. It consists of five cleverly designed parts: 1 & 2: Clamping rings for the handlebars in two parts 3: Curved adapter (optional part, needed if your handlebar is horizontal) 4: Magnet house 5: Cover Tools you'll need: * A Torx screwdriver to disassemble old hard drives and recover the magnets (get yours here: http://urlz.fr/403X) * A clip to make removing the magnets a breeze * An Allen key with 6 sides, 4 mm long (find one here: http://urlz.fr/4044) Recovery & Recycling: * Scavenge 4-6 magnets from old hard drives that are no longer in use. Your friends might have some lying around or stashed away in an old PC. Check out this video to learn how to disassemble a hard disk and extract the magnets (http://urlz.fr/4040). * Get two screws, 20mm long with no male hexagonal head and a clamping nut, 4 mm (find them here: http://urlz.fr/4043) * Two hex nuts without screws (get yours here: http://urlz.fr/4045) * A rubber band or old inner tube to fill any gap between the handlebar and clamp * One smartphone case or similar item (example: http://urlz.fr/40nW) * One large tin can lid, which you'll cut down to size to fit your phone's case
