My roommate modified this spectrometer to fit his iPhone 6, and it turned out great! We managed to repurpose a DVD as a diffraction grating, which was a pretty cool hack. If you're planning to use a similar setup, keep in mind that you might need to adjust the slit width to match your extruder nozzle; I used a 0.4mm nozzle and it worked perfectly.
