Smartphone Holder for Car Navigation

<p>I have a 2007 Yaris and in the middle of the dash, right in front of the speedometer, there's this convenient spot where I can rest anything flat without it rolling away. So, I made this vertical stand for my iPhone 5s and iPhone 6 (they both fit and with their phone covers on which gives them a thickness of almost 12mm). It's come in very handy because I can quickly grab my phone any time I need it and easily put the holder away, out of sight, when not in use.</p> <p>If you found this useful, please share your work and be sure to peruse my other submissions which are almost as varied as they are many:</p> <p><a href="/3E8/designs">http://www.thingiverse.com/3E8/designs</a></p> <p>Enjoy!</p> <p>November 11th, 2016 update: Added another version that allows you to use rubber bands to give the thing more grip (instead of using sticky pads like the previous version that can become too dusty/ineffective or fall off). Greatly improved stability during turns.</p> <p>It also stands the phone upright instead of at a small recline... great for in-car con calls with video.</p> Category: Mobile Phone
