Smart Watch Replacement Buckle
thingiverse
I bought a cheap "smart" watch for my girlfriend, but the pin on the buckle was already rusty when we got it, which meant the buckle didn't last long at all. This is a new buckle to replace the old one. I'm not sure what the model number of the watch is or if it even has one, so I've included the FreeCAD FCStd file for anyone who wants to make this work with their watch. You should only need to modify the original sketch and everything else will follow. Double-check just to be sure, but it's worth a shot. This buckle is designed not to use a spring-loaded pin like the original or any standard one, but instead uses a larger paper clip. Simply push the paper clip through and trim off the ends with a small overhang on each side. Using a small hammer and an anvil, shape each end into a mushroom to lock the pin in place. It's worth noting that my models aren't showing up under the Newest listings anymore, either because of a Thingiverse bug or due to being shadowbanned. If you want to see more of my models, please follow me. If you do decide to print this buckle, it would really help if you'd post a make so others can find it.
