The Smart Stand is designed for modern smart devices, coming in both phone and tablet versions. It allows users to hold their device at a specific angle for video calls and staged photos, but its versatility also makes it ideal for everyday use. Most other stands have fixed angles or limited adjustability, which may not always be suitable for the task at hand. In contrast, the Smart Stand offers an impressive range of motion, adjustable from nearly vertical (-5°) to horizontal (70°). Although tested on a limited number of devices, it should work seamlessly with most phones and tablets. The stand's compact design accommodates devices up to 15mm thick, making it easy to use. Simply drop the device into the holder, loosen the nut and bolt slightly, then tighten at the desired angle. If your device is thicker than 15mm, all parts can be scaled up uniformly to accommodate its greater thickness. The assembly process is also remarkably straightforward. The phone version measures 65mm x 35mm (excluding the nut and bolt), while the tablet version is 10mm longer when closed and 20mm longer when opened. The additional length ensures that tablets inserted in portrait orientation are less likely to cause the stand to flip backwards at angles greater than 45°. The Smart Stand requires only four parts: the holder, the stand, the bolt, and the nut. These components can be easily printed with a well-sliced app and a properly set up machine. Make sure to download the correct versions - either all tablet or all phone. However, the 'nut' is common to both assemblies. Assembly is quick and easy, requiring only a moderate amount of force to push the holder and stand parts together. This ensures that the stand remains securely locked in place at any angle, preventing it from flopping down under the weight of the device. The tapered sections on the stand increase the mating surface areas being tightened together by the nut and bolt, resulting in a secure connection. The end result functions well with all phones and tablets tested.
