The IP Switch is a compact unit that monitors your internet connection and automatically power-cycles connected devices if the connection drops. This simple feature can save time by resetting your router when mobile broadband or cable/DSL connections fail, without requiring on-site visits. The main feature may be all some customers need, but it also offers advanced options: a web interface for monitoring status, logs, and settings; power scheduling with up to 20 timed on/off schedules per port; detailed logs to track power resets; Dynamic DNS support and remote access via GTalk messenger; advanced network configuration for static IPs and custom DNS servers; save/restore config options for easy customization across multiple units; and dimensions of 5" x 5" x 2". The unit has two North American-style power outlets with a combined 10A rating, an ethernet port, and a USB port. Its 32-bit RISC CPU supports various network protocols and can be upgraded via the GUI or utility programs for Windows and Mac. With CE and FCC certifications, this indoor-use-only device features LED indicators for internet and power status.
