Smart Phone Strap Attach

Smart Phone Strap Attach

thingiverse

Now that I have a Microsoft Band 2, my phone no longer needs to be stuffed into my pocket, just nearby. My professional job demands that my phone remains within arm's reach at all times. This project was created to provide a secure method for attaching my phone to the strap of my tablet bag. It was designed specifically for my iPhone 6 (a smaller version) with an Otterbox case on it - pretty bulky, so it should fit many phones. The basic internal dimensions measure 77mm x 13mm with rounded edges (check out the pictures). This is a two-piece design, with the cross bar printed separately due to the straps on my bag being sewn shut and unable to be threaded through. When assembled, the pieces should fit together snugly, and a small drop of glue or a quick melt using a soldering iron will keep them in place. The maximum strap width for this device is 40mm. Simply print two of these parts, as both the top and bottom are designed identically (to expose the iPhone button and speaker).
