Valerie Yi Mei's Cleveron Parcel Delivery System Challenge entry focuses on developing an efficient, assistive system for handling oversized parcels. Her innovative concept addresses the common issue of people trying to squeeze large packages into drawers and then expecting them to remain undamaged upon retrieval. A key feature of her design is a vertical displacement mechanism that enables the easy removal of stuck parcels without forcibly pulling on the drawer, ensuring safety for all items, particularly fragile ones. Additionally, this system is user-friendly, allowing operation with just one hand, and greatly reduces the time required to retrieve oversized packages.
