Smart Outlet shelves - 4 way
thingiverse
I appreciated Chris' initial design, but needed it for a 4-way outlet, so I expanded each piece to fit it comfortably. However, after printing one, I realized that combining the pieces beforehand would make the part both stronger and more efficient in terms of plastic usage. Fortunately, I also included separate pieces for those who prefer them. All parts should be printed on their side, including the outlet face, so no supports are necessary. Print Settings Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2 mm Infill: I used 10%. Your results may vary. Notes: If you print the parts separately, do them upright. Printing flat can cause the rail to fall without supports, which is a hassle to remove. Post-Printing Place it over the existing outlet cover because it doesn't wrap around the junction box completely, leaving access to sensitive components. How I Designed This Initially, I cloned Chris' original design in Sketchup and cleaned up the mesh using Meshmixer. However, I eventually found Tinkercad, which simplified everything else significantly.
