Smart ForTwo 451 Volume Knob
thingiverse
This is a replacement knob for a 451 Smart ForTwo, which has a common fault of degrading and becoming a sticky mess. There are two options here: a knob with a circle 'logo', and a knob with a 3-sided bar 'logo'. I printed it with a 0.6 nozzle, which looks fine. I used transparent PLA for the core but it didn't transmit the light, so I'd just pick a nice colour instead. It might work with an SLA printer as you'll get the clarity. I've not tried though so there is no guarantee of that working, either. YOU WILL HAVE TO REMOVE AND DISMANTLE THE WHOLE RADIO TO FIT THIS PART. IF YOU JUST TRY AND PULL THE KNOB OFF YOU WILL BREAK IT. For this, you need a Torx set which includes a T6 bit to remove the circuit board from the radio facia.
