Smart 451 Gear Shift Knob

The original shift knob drove me crazy for two reasons. Firstly, the automatic button was so loose and weak that it always triggered the switch multiple times. Each time I used it, I had to glance at the display and verify which mode was active. Secondly, and quite frankly, it just looked utterly outdated. Print those parts exactly as shown in the screenshot. A few supports may be necessary depending on your printer's settings and preferences. The pin is to be glued into the button with a product of your choice; I used some super glue. The pin is slightly longer than needed, so you'll have to shorten it to fit snugly against the micro switch at the shift rod. The "C" and the triangle on top of the lid are to be glued to the lid using something of your preference. The ring and small button are just for centering the lid onto the top part. Although designed with a reasonable amount of give, it can be tricky to put those parts together due to the unavoidable "elephant's foot" at the first layers. I used a small amount (small and short!) of heat from a blowtorch in the grooves on the lid and top part to get those "helpers" in place. They're not mandatory but I liked having the lid centered mechanically. There is plenty of room for the cables, so you can just stick the knob onto the shift rod once it's assembled. The screw from the front side is used to fasten the knob to the rod. Vitamins are... 6 M3 square nuts 5 Allen screws M3 x 18 1 countersunk screw M3 x 10 1 spring of a ball pen, cut in half and somewhat shortened I'm now thrilled with my new shift-knob.
