Smallest Smart Prusa IR filament sensor
thingiverse
28.02.2022 - mk2 version here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5266595 26.02.2022 - final version - working, but with all my TPU/TPE slipping when tracking PET-G - too slippery. Now I'm designing similar sensor with MK8 extruder gear - longer, but slimmer - similar size. Currently going into testing phase. 22.02.2022 - V4 repair - accidently I uploade wrong files 21.02.2022 - V4 update Probably smallest, most responsive and acurate (resolution cca .45mm) smart (speed) filament sensor. Whole thing is smaller then RepRap optical sensor used in all other designs ... Uses Prusa IR sensor, 3x - 623 3x10x4 bearing, 3x - 3x10mm "hidden" head(please corect me) screws, 1x - 3x25mm screw (any head), 3x 3mm nuts and TPU(TPE) barel part + inlay (necessary). Add 1x - 3x10 mm screw + nut, change 2 screws to 13+mm ones, if you want to use it with titan extruder. Alpha version used PTFE tube, but TPU95 is so hard and slippery, so I can not get force necessary to reliably contact filament vs TPU so iddler was added. 25mm screw head must face away sensor connector, so nut on other side thitening itself. V1 - first smallest functional version V2 - slightly bigger, but secured screw holding iddler V3 - added titan arm holder, body is same as V2 V4 - redesign of barell, added TPU inlay to iddler for better tracking Testing, for now looking good, can handle wery small movement (dragon scales) and very high speeds (0,3mm layer; 150 mm/s). Remixes added as inspiration, originaly I was trying something as Fractalengeneer version and when I found it I realized, that it is extremly big. Titan extruder arm is used directly in scad - mounting holes and repaired bearing place.
