Smaller (Floating) Whistle

Smaller (Floating) Whistle

thingiverse

A subtle tweak to the exceptional V29 whistle by @jzisa, which was creatively reimagined as the compact whistle by @jrclem. This iteration streamlines the compact whistle design, eliminating unnecessary components that don't impact functionality. Gone are the lanyard holes at the end, replaced by optimized use of negative space within the whistle chamber – though these new openings are quite diminutive, perfect for fine cord applications. Edges have been rounded to reduce weight and ensure effortless floatation, even in water. A sacrifice was made in durability, but rest assured this whistle holds up admirably in practical use. Its functionality remains intact: incredibly loud output that cuts through noise with ease. After scaling the design down to 85%, a printed version weighs in at just 2 grams when crafted from glow-in-the-dark PLA with 20% infill density – no supports required for smooth production.
