small water pump
thingiverse
I used a 380 motor from an old printer, which worked perfectly for this project. The inlet fits directly into a soda bottle, and the output measures 8mm in diameter outside and 6mm inside. With two of the three blades installed, I achieved an impressive flow rate of about 1.7 liters per minute - that's all I tested so far. To ensure a tight seal around the edge, apply some grease; I personally use Lucas Oil Red for this purpose. Since I printed it in PLA, I strongly recommend printing it in ABS or another more durable material instead. The entire mechanism is held together with M3 bolts and nuts, and I ran the motor at 12 volts. I've edited my post to include a link to a video of the pump in action: https://youtu.be/gwLyB70k8wY.
