Small Wall Thickness Test Print
thingiverse
Small wall thickness test prints designed with intricate features allow for precise scrutiny and evaluation of how these details impact the walls, thereby facilitating informed design decisions regarding feature thicknesses and feature transitions when tighter tolerances are required. WallPrintTest.STL is optimized with 0.5mm, 1.0mm, 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm, and 3.0mm walls for comprehensive testing purposes. WallPrintTestThin.STL, on the other hand, features 0.6mm, 0.7mm, 0.8mm, 0.9mm, 1.0mm, and 1.25mm walls to provide a more detailed analysis. Both tests incorporate a 2.0mm wall intersecting all the other walls at a precise 90-degree angle for enhanced accuracy. Settings-dependent issues may cause the thinnest walls to be omitted by your slicer. When using Cura with a TAZ 6, the 0.5mm wall on WallPrintTest.STL failed to print, whereas all thicker walls (0.6mm and above) printed successfully in both files. By comparing the thickness of printed walls against their designed counterparts, you can gain valuable insights into how much larger the final prints will be compared to your original design, enabling you to adjust your design for more precise printing results. How I Designed This I was simply in a state of creative experimentation, and the design just flowed from there. It's as if my mind took on a life of its own, driving me to create something unique and captivating.
