Small Type 2 Mennekes Handle

Smaller handle for a type 2 Mennekes Electric vehicle charging handle. If you have an existing handle which is screwed together you can replace the handle without having to cut and re-crimp the wires. After removing the 2 halves of the existing handle, there are usually 3 or 4 screws inside the female connector, holding the pins. After removing these screws and sliding the type 2 housing off (careful not too losse the O-rings) you can slide the 3D printed housing over the internals, then reattach the type 2 female housing and slide the 3D printed cover over it. This is a supposed to be a tight fit. If it is not a bit of glue or additional screws are required to hold on the cover to the type 2 housing. Fitting the lid can be done with M2.5 screws (hole is 2 mm) or self tapping screws. A little sealant between housing and lid ensures water tightness more. The only thing to cut on the original connector is the rubber grommet, just cut it open with a knife and remove it from the cable.
