Small trap for Asian hornet

Here is a small Asian hornet trap I made with a friend who is an amateur beekeeper. He uses a standard jam jar. When the trap is full of hornets you can put back the lid of the jam jar to transport the trap safely and for example put it in the freezer for a few hours before emptying it. It is selective trap: bees and small insects can escape through the holes in the grid. European hornets do not enter. Hornets do not die in the trap and continue to emit pheromones, which attracts other hornets. The entrance prevents the hornets from exiting if the trap is positioned horizontally. Honey can be used as bait or a cup of liquid bait. Edit: added a stronger model even if it is not justified for normal use
