Small Town USA - Diorama
thingiverse
I'm working on a fun little project inspired by an image I downloaded as a wallpaper. The image is from wallpaperscraft.com and can be found here: https://wallpaperscraft.com/download/buildings_art_street_128242/2560x1600. To bring this design to life, I used Fusion 360 to create the model. I started with the image as my canvas, then scaled it up so that one foot of the print corresponds to one foot in real life. Since the original image is a cartoon-style illustration, the scale isn't perfect, but it gets the point across. I printed this design at an extremely large scale - about 600% of the original size. For me, this means one inch on the print equals six feet in real life. As you might expect, some of the smaller details didn't come out perfectly, so I'm planning to try printing it again at an even larger scale, around 1200%. This will make one inch on the print equal three feet in real life. The Fusion 360 file for this project is included below.
With this file you will be able to print Small Town USA - Diorama with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Small Town USA - Diorama.
