This versatile adapter empowers you to seamlessly switch between a compact 27mm dovetail mount and a robust 2 inch straight dovetail, such as those found on Benro tripods, with utmost ease. It is designed to accommodate ~27mm dovetail mounts while offering the flexibility of using larger 2 inch straight dovetails. You will notice that it remains securely in place due to the effective locking mechanism of the dovetail itself, which provides a stable foundation for most everyday applications and allows for a smaller print size. For added security, a thick shim can be placed between the adapter and the available stop(s) on the Benro or other tripod, offering extra stability. However, an upcoming update is expected to address these concerns and also increase the height of the adapter to ensure better clearance when tightening the dovetail.
